Our department supports immigrant families to strengthen the parental role, help with youth's social integration and academic success, and contribute to the overall development of toddlers.

Individual support (school and early childhood)
Support and guidance for immigrant families in their child's education, facilitating communication between the school or daycare and the family to promote academic success.
Individual support offered by the youth team
Support and guidance for immigrant youth aged 14 to 25 to develop their autonomy and sense of initiative.
Group activities7 services
A series of workshops just for immigrant parents
9 workshops for immigrant parents to help them understand the expectations and laws in Quebec society around parenting and child protection including their role in their children's personal and academic development.
Parent support groups
Strengthening parenting skills for parents with children 0-5 yrs. with the 'Y'a personne de parfait' program: behaviour, development, safety and parenting role.
Low-cost summer camps
French summer camp for 6-12 year old children from low-income immigrant families.
Spring break activities
Activities and outings offered during March Break.
Social activities for youth (ages 14-25)
Recreational, sports, cultural and informational activities for youth
Youth committee 'Leaders of Hope'
Committee for and by youth, allowing them to come together around activities to build their self-confidence, leadership and network.
Academic success support
Series of activities to support youth (elementary and high school) with their homework and French learning.
Part-time daycare2 services
Part-time community daycare for children aged 6 months to 5 years, with the educational program 'Growing in part-time community daycare'. Limited full-day or half-day options (morning or afternoon).
Healthy lunches
Monthly activity for parents and children to share and learn the recipe of a healthy lunch made by the daycare team.
New project: Growing up with French project
An initiative of CARI St-Laurent to help immigrant children get ready for school by reinforcing their learning of French.
Oasis-part-time daycare service for children with special needs
Service specifically designed for children aged 5-12 with mild special needs (ADHD, ASD, language disorders...) to give parents a much needed break.
